I'm fine with these themes being mentioned or part of an event, just not RPing them out.

Others: Due to previous experiences, I don't RP with malleable or blank slate protagonists (e.g. FFXIV WoLs+Azems, Hoyoverse main characters, Dragon Age protagonists, Fire Emblem Avatars, etc.), or fandom OCs (TTRPGs are an exception), or interact with their players. The only exception are SMT protagonists.

IN CHARACTER

Warnings: Given my preferred canon points for Yuzuru, I play with a lot of spoilers for both SMTV vanilla (Canon of Creation) and SMTV Vengeance (Canon of Vengeance).

SMTV is quite mild compared to other mainline Shin Megami Tensei games, but it's still SMT. There's body horror, semi-explicit gore, existential crisis around every corner, existential horror, a post-apocalyptic world populated by demons with the expectation that one must survive in it, death of personality, and the realization that the god you pray to might not be as merciful as you were led to believe-- and is actually a demon. Yuzuru's own background has loss of family, terminal illness (not himself but an important family member), intense loneliness, safe spaces no longer being safe, betrayal and potential death at the hands of a friend, body horror and potential death of personality.

Physical affection: He's likely touchstarved but he'll only accept it from people he's close to, and tolerate it from people he's not that familiar with. He won't take it from strangers at all.

Flirting: He won't get it at first, but if/when he does, he'll be flustered.

Casual sex: Sadly, Yuzuru is too stubborn and shy to be gung-ho about it. Does he even have a libido? He's (mostly) a normal human guy, he just keeps it controlled and is potentially saving himself for someone. I'm still down for it happening, and I definitely won't be inflexible about this. He'll warm up to the idea eventually, but there's a danger of him catching feelings because he's dumb and a romantic at heart. 17+ only.

Romance: Sure, if they can get through his prickly, stubborn nature (or if that's their taste in guys). However, they'll have to deal with the knowledge that there's already someone on Yuzuru's mind, and may become a third person in that relationship eventually. Basically, they have to understand that Yuzuru and Koshimizu/Tsukuyomi are a package deal because they're two halves of the same person, even if Yuzuru and Koshimizu don't turn romantic themselves. 17+ only.

Fighting: Sure. He'll give as good as he gets... unless he doesn't have his demons or his partner, in which case he's a weenie.

Injuries: Sure. No permanent loss of body parts though.

Blood: Yuzuru might get a little squeamish, but he'll be fine.

Death: As long as it's not permanent.

Telepathy/mind reading abilities: Sure. It's kind boring in there though, most of Yuzuru's thoughts are about his sister Miyazu, what she needs, his other half Koshimizu, his training as a demon summoner, and some anxieties about performing properly as Tsukuyomi's Knowledge. I guess Yuzuru thinking about Koshimizu/Tsukuyomi can count as gossip?

Mind control: It depends what he'll do under the influence, let's talk it over first.

Canon Point: Flexible on either Creation or Vengeance timeline. For Creation, I prefer somewhere around the Empyrean. For Vengeance, I prefer during the Shinjuku arc. The protag's alignment doesn't matter.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Surface personality traits: He usually says what's on his mind and tends not to mince words, so he can end up getting on someone's nerves, though Yuzuru doesn't really care about that unless someone is close to him. He's also quite stubborn and straight-laced, so he doesn't like messing around, or messing with other people. However, Yuzuru tends to have a short fuse when it comes to his sister's safety, ruined plans, or idiots, short enough that he can get physical.

Fashion: We've only ever seen him in his school uniform, but it's clear from it that he leans towards more modern styles than traditional-- his school offers a choice between gakuran and blazer uniforms, and Yuzuru goes with the latter. At the very least he has a sense of individuality in his fashion, with his woven bracelet and the frame color and style of his glasses.

Height: Unknown, headcanon says around 5'8"-5'10". He's at least between the protagonist and Dazai in height, and comes up to somewhere on Koshimizu's face.

Build: Made of legs and lean muscle. He's athletic enough that he can wander around a post-apocalyptic world and be mostly fine if he doesn't encounter demons, and just run away from said demons if needed.

Hair: Black, short and a little wavy.

Eyes: Pale grey

Voice: Ishikawa Kaito (JP) and Mark Whitten (EN). Voice showcase of both. No, I will not get into the "OG vs localization dub" argument, I like both equally.

Language: Japanese. Probably picked up some words of a few other languages, considering his work at Bethel.

Scent: Like easy-to-buy mint shampoo, and a bit of bamboo.

Hand dominance: Right-handed

Literacy: Can read and write well.

Triggers: Kidnap, hurt, or even just mention his sister in a vaguely threatening way and Yuzuru will lose his temper. On the other hand, losing his sister and his partner may cause him to lose his will to continue.

Other: Humans with a sixth sense and actual supernatural beings will note that he has a lot of spiritual power in him and may even notice that he's someone attached to the moon. Those who are Japanese (either human with a strong sixth sense or supernatural being) may note that he has a soul-deep connection to Tsukuyomi-- one could even say he feels a lot like Tsukuyomi despite being human.
